My weird/annoying talent

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person I know who manages to guess major plot twists that happen in books, shows and movies, way before they actually happen. I get this ability from my mom, but luckily my skill isn't as advanced as hers. Why don't I like this ability? It ruins the whole purpose of reading some books. I'm surprised that I still like reading with this "special talent" of mine. Part of this is the reason why 99% of book/movie/show spoilers don't really bother me, because chances are, I would have been able to predict what is going to happen anyways. Here is a primary example of a story that I was able to successfully use this annoying power to guess the ending or plot twist for:

The House of Hades is part of one of my favorite series but nothing in this book in particularly surprised in any way, shape or form. **Caution: Spoilers ahead**
Let me just start off saying that I knew that Leo was going to end up meeting Calypso around two books before he crashed landed onto her island. Sometime after finishing up "The Lost Hero" and while I was waiting around for the "The Son of Nepune" to come out, I had a feeling that Rick Riordan was going to find a way to incorporate Calypso back into the story so that she can complicate everything more and/or screw everything up (I'm not a huge fan of her, sorry Caleo shippers :/) I ruled out that Percy was going back, (considering he couldn't return to the island, even if he wanted to) So at the time I only had Leo and Jason as possible choices and Leo was the only one that made sense. I mean Jason already had a whole weird complicated thing going on with Piper/Reyna, and Leo is a natural flirt who falls fast and hard for any kind of girl, that only made sense of he somehow manged to wash up on the shores of Calypso's island. I forgot about this theory for a while until I picked up "The House of Hades" and started reading it, once Khione told Piper that she sent Leo somewhere "he can never return from" that just confirmed my suspicions that I had a few years earlier on.

I'm surprised that with all the fanfic about Nico and Leo that was circulating the internet that more people didn't think that there could have been a possibility that Nico could have been gay. I know that fanfic/fan art has absolutely nothing to do with how the author writes a book but I'm pretty sure that's what put the the idea in my head.
“Nico's voice was like broken glass. "I- I wasn't in love with Annabeth.""You were jealous of her," Jason said. "That's why you didn't want to be around her. Especially why you don't want to be around... him. It makes total sense.”  (Rick Riordan, House of Hades)
This part of the story was probably one of the most talked about, blown up parts out of the whole book, and when I first read it my first thought was "Wait, didn't that already happen?"
Nico is one of my favorite characters and this didn't really change the way I look at him at all, but now I just have this undying hatred for the god Cupid, for making Nico feel ashamed of himself. I also gained 86742672685365 times more respect for Jason for being such an amazing friend to Nico in this book.

Well, that just about sums up my weird little talent that I have. Except, it is constantly at work, causing me to self-spoil books and movies by correctly predicting the ending to the storyline, all the time. Some other books/movies that I self-spoiled were Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Allegiant, and The Hunger Games. I still don't know why I even try to read these books or watch these movies if I already have a good idea of what is going to happen. This also wraps up my blog, I hope you guys found taking a sneak peek at the more sane side of a fangirl's brain somewhat interesting. Thanks for taking time to read any of my blog posts!
